Whether you’re passionate about history, art, media, or community engagement, there’s a place for you on our team. From strategic leadership to creative production and digital outreach, your contributions can help us expand our reach, preserve vital stories, and inspire future generations.
We’re currently looking for volunteers to fill the following roles:
Board Member
Help guide the long-term vision and sustainability of the South Coast Artists Index. As a board member, you’ll contribute your expertise to support governance, fundraising, partnerships, and strategic decision-making.
Advisory Committee Member
Join a group of thought leaders, artists, educators, and community advocates who help shape the direction of our programming. Advisory members provide input, recommend potential guests, and help ensure our work stays relevant and inclusive.
Social Media Manager
Craft and schedule engaging content across our social platforms to increase visibility and engagement. You’ll play a key role in promoting new podcast episodes, artist features, events, and calls to action.
Digital Content Creator
Use your writing, editing, photography, or video skills to help us tell richer stories. From artist profiles and blog posts to behind-the-scenes visuals, your content will help expand the reach and impact of our mission.

In-Focus Podcasts are funded in part with grants from the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Fairhaven Cultural Council, local agencies supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
The Artists Index collaborates with the New Bedford Whaling Museum's Common Ground Project to collect and share the interwoven stories of the South Coast's creative community.
The Artists Index collaborates with The New Bedford Light and the New Bedford Light Fine Arts Club to promote and encourage the sale of emerging and established South Coasts artists' work.
The Gallery X Documentation Project is supported in part by the ARTnet/Wicked Cool Places grant funded by the City of New Bedford through the American Rescue Plan Awards and its Arts, Culture & Tourism Fund and is facilitated by New Bedford Creative at the NBEDC.
