PEGGI MEDEIROS

Welcome writer, local historian, and author Margaret ‘Peggi’ Medeiros to In-Focus Podcast Number 92. Peggi is one of the Southcoast’s go-to experts when it comes to local history.

She is a writer/blogger for Southcoast Today and, the author of two books, New Bedford Mansions and Harriet Jacobs in New Bedford. She is now working on her third book the Captain and His Daughters. It is about the Jones family, the second family to own the Rotch Jones Duff House.

Peggi specializes in New Bedford History. She has worked for the City of New Bedford, WHALE, and the former Swain School of Design.

Listen in on the conversation as The Artist Index’s host, Ron Fortier delves more into Peggi’s life, work, and future ambitions. This episode was recorded with Zoom post-pandemic in 2021.

We will soon begin to offer the option to our guests of recording their podcasts in our studio at the Spectrum Marketing Group in Howland Place or via Zoom.

The whole concept of The Artists Index and the journey we are on is are still in the making and very organic. Although there seems to be an end in sight for the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will continue to podcast remotely, assisted by Zoom, to accommodate our guests’ schedules and to allow them to remain in the comfort of their homes.

If you would like to be a guest or, have a suggestion, please let us know!
