Ron Fortier

Co-founder & Host of the Southcoast Artists Index Podcast

Ron, a painter, lives and maintains his studio in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. He received his BFA in Painting from Southeastern Massachusetts University (University of Massachusetts Dartmouth) and his MFA from the University of Miami. Ron has exhibited both nationally and internationally. His work is a part of collections in the United States and overseas.

Ron is the co-founder of The Artists Index as well as one of its podcasters and article writers. He, together with friend and co-founder Jeff Wotton, has been documenting and preserving the lives and legacies of the South Coast’s historical and contemporary visual, performing, and literary artists for over a decade. Together, they and their team are building a local history resource while providing up-close-and-personal conversations with the makers, performers, supporters, and cultural impresarios of our remarkable creative communities on the South Coast.
