In Focus Podcast
Welcome musician, bandleader, and photographer, Tom Short to In-Focus Podcast Number 118. Tom grew up in Flint Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan, Flint with a degree in classical performance.
While in Flint, he was also a bandleader. Tom moved to New Bedford, Massachusetts around 30 years ago. Since on the South Coast, Tom has been a music teacher and performer.
During the covid epidemic, Tom rediscovered his love for photography and is out shooting nearly every day. He’s printed and sold his photos, which are also included in a calendar in Westport Massachusetts.
Tom talks with The Artist Index’s host, Ron Fortier about his background, the story about how Pumpkin Head Ted got their name, and lots more. This episode was recorded with Zoom “post-pandemic” in 2022.
We all hope that there will be an end in sight to the COVID-19 Pandemic so that we may return to our studio at the Spectrum Marketing Group in Howland Place in New Bedford. Until then, we will continue to podcast remotely, assisted by Zoom, to accommodate our guests’ schedules and to allow them to remain in the comfort of their homes.
