Welcome musician, Jeff Angeley, to In-Focus Podcast Number 122. Jeff is a South Coast multi-instrumentalist performer and music educator.
His musical tastes are experiences are eclectic and cross-genre. Jeff started his journey in a concert band and moved on to rock bands.
He played lots of jazz and bluegrass in college, and along the way fell deeply in love with traditional music. His most recent musical work and infatuations lie in the neighborhood of traditional music, acoustic (Indie) songwriter-related genres, Americana, and “classical” minimalism.
Jeff’s “obsession du jour” changes, but as he relates, “somewhere not far beneath the surface is always the lifelong love of the traditional and a deep reverence for all traditions.
Jeff talks with The Artist Index’s host, Ron Fortier about his background, how the pandemic has affected him, and lots more. This episode was recorded with Zoom “post-pandemic” in 2022.
We all hope that there will be an end in sight to the COVID-19 Pandemic so that we may return to our studio at the Spectrum Marketing Group in Howland Place in New Bedford. Until then, we will continue to podcast remotely, assisted by Zoom, to accommodate our guests’ schedules and to allow them to remain in the comfort of their homes.
