Welcome, Painter/Designer and friend of 40-years plus Dave Dauer to the show! He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts.
He fondly remembers sitting at his dining room table at his parent’s home looking out the large picture window drawing the trees. David’s neighbor, who was an artist, offered to support and guide him. This helped to ignite his artistic fire.
Dave Dauer’s parents were also key to his development and encouraged him to follow his passion. He did! Dave took art classes and, as he says, “I was fortunate to attend a high school in Framingham that offered an amazing art program.” He received a BFA in painting from Southeastern Massachusetts University (SMU), his MFA in painting from Kent State University, and later returned to SMU for continued studies in Design.
