Welcome, Michael Walden, a Westport, Massachusetts painter to In-Focus Podcast Number 82. South Coast artist Michael Walden was born in North Adams, Massachusetts. He received his B.A. from Framingham State University.
A year abroad lead to an M.F.A. from Boston University in 1996, specializing in art education. In 2014 he was awarded a second M.F.A. from Mass Art (Massachusetts College of Art and Design). Michael completed a month-long residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2018.
Michael Walden was named a two-time recipient of the Returning Residency Program at the Fine Arts Work Center, (2016-17). His works have been viewed at the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art, Coastal Contemporary Gallery, and Gallery at Four. Walden is currently represented by Prince Street Gallery in New York City.
