Salon Series
The Artists Index Salon Series brings local artists together for expert-led workshops and networking opportunities on topics that matter most to the creative community. There is no cost to attend the events, but space is limited so please RSVP.
What is the Salon Series?
The Artists Index Salon Series is designed to inform, inspire, and connect local artists through a series of engaging workshops and conversations. Each session features an expert speaker addressing a key topic. Alongside these presentations, the series provides valuable opportunities for networking, sharing experiences, and building connections across the South Coast’s creative community.
The Artists Index is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to documenting, promoting, and connecting the creative community across the South Coast. Through partnerships, live events, publications, podcasts, and digital media, the organization supports artists in being included, being counted, and being found.
The Salon Series is funded in part by a grant from the New Bedford Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

In-Focus Podcasts are funded in part with grants from the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Fairhaven Cultural Council, local agencies supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
The Artists Index collaborates with the New Bedford Whaling Museum's Common Ground Project to collect and share the interwoven stories of the South Coast's creative community.
The Artists Index collaborates with The New Bedford Light and the New Bedford Light Fine Arts Club to promote and encourage the sale of emerging and established South Coasts artists' work.
The Gallery X Documentation Project is supported in part by the ARTnet/Wicked Cool Places grant funded by the City of New Bedford through the American Rescue Plan Awards and its Arts, Culture & Tourism Fund and is facilitated by New Bedford Creative at the NBEDC.
