Welcome musician, Sarah Donner, to In-Focus Podcast Number 123. This is the first podcast by our new Music Host, Scott Bishop. Scott was our podcast guest on Podcast Episode 113.
Sarah Donner is an alt-pop singer/songwriter who has embraced her inner cat lady. Her songs teeter back and forth between playful, nerdcore, and ballads.
It’s all tied together with bright melodies and driving, energetic instrumentals. Sarah Donner’s music has been featured on Conan O’Brien’s blog, NPR, Buzzfeed, i09, Showtime, and CBS.
“Sarah Donner and the Sleepy Kitten” and “The Motherf**cking Pterodactyl Song” (co-written with The Oatmeal) catapulted Sarah into weblebrity status with over four million views on YouTube alone.
Sarah Donner is a graduate of Westminster Choir College. She stretched her legs a bit in musical theatre. She talks with The Artist Index’s Indy Music Host, Scott Bishop about her background, her advancing career, and lots more. This episode was recorded with Zoom “post-pandemic” in 2022.
We all hope that there will be an end in sight to the COVID-19 Pandemic so that we may return to our studio at the Spectrum Marketing Group in Howland Place in New Bedford. Until then, we will continue to podcast remotely, assisted by Zoom, to accommodate our guests’ schedules and to allow them to remain in the comfort of their homes.
