MOLLY O’LEARY
Welcome musician, Molly O’Leary, to In-Focus Podcast Number 125. This podcast is by our new Indie/Rock Music Host, Scott Bishop. Scott was our podcast guest on Podcast Episode 113.
Molly O’Leary (they/them) is a singer-songwriter from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Molly’s style has been described as indie, folk, Americana, and rock.
She performs solo, duo, and with a full band nationally at restaurants, music venues, and popular events/festivals. Holding Space, was their first album recorded in a studio with a full band thanks to their Kickstarter backers.
The album is out now on all streaming platforms. Molly loves using songwriting as a form of activism to raise awareness about mental health and social justice. Molly also integrates music into her elementary school counselor and yoga teacher job.
Molly talks with The Artist Index’s Music Host, Scott Bishop, about her background and lots more. This episode was recorded with Zoom “post-pandemic” in 2022.
We all hope that there will be an end in sight to the COVID-19 Pandemic so that we may return to our studio at the Spectrum Marketing Group in Howland Place in New Bedford. Until then, we will continue to podcast remotely, assisted by Zoom, to accommodate our guests’ schedules and to allow them to remain in the comfort of their homes.
