Podcast Episode 176: Patricia A. Thomas

Welcome, Patricia A. Thomas, aka Patty Thomas, performer, director, writer, and teacher. Throughout her career, Patty has directed theatre and music projects in many communities and different parts of the world. As the artistic director and co-founder of Culture*Park Theatre, along with Rebecca Schade, she has fostered new and emerging plays and playwrights, curating and presenting nearly 400 short plays for the Short Plays Marathons.

Patty is the author/editor of Two Portuguese-American Plays, which features her full-length play, Through a Portagee Gate, adapted from the memoir by Charles Reis Felix. Patricia began her acting career at Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, RI, and has been a member of the Actors’ Equity Association since 1985. She is the current co-editor, of The Culture*Park Short Plays Marathons: An Anthology of Plays, 2002-2023, and founder and director of the Uncommon Lunch Presents Culture*Park Short Plays!, a touring program, and the director of Midnight, Foc’sle, Moby Dick, and Moby Dick M.
