Podcast Episode 173: Ethan de Aguiar

Welcome, Ethan de Aguiar, who self-describes as a self-proclaimed artrepreneur.  He is a New Bedford native and an experienced filmmaker. Ethan de Aguiar focuses on the art of storytelling and brings the essence of the subject matter to life with cinematic visuals that create a unique experience for audiences.

He has built long-term working relationships with notable local organizations such as New Bedford Creative, Destination New Bedford, DATMA, the SouthCoast Community Foundation, YMCA Southcoast, Viva! Fall River, and the Fabrics Art Festival, to name a few. Recently, Ethan’s short documentary film, Love Letters for New Bedford has been an official selection for at least 11 film festivals.

Most notably, Ethan de Aguiar won “Best Documentary” at the Portuguese International Film Festival as well as the Block Island Film Festival. He is currently working on a pilot episode for a “mockumentary-style” comedy series called Pickleball Is Life as Director of Photography, Co-Director, and Editor.
